Lyme Regis has a very quaint town with a variety of unusual shops and a maze of steep narrow streets with their interesting architecture. Renouned for its mild climate it makes the perfect location for a visit all the year around.

The famous Cobb harbour was the perfect setting for the filming of John Fowles film The French Lieutenants Woman, starring Meryl Streep, which won world wide acclaim. Today it is a busy harbour offering regular boat trips for fishing or pleasure.

Lyme Regis and the six mile stretch of coast line either side of the town are world famous for fossils. It was recently awarded World heritage Coast status.It has proved a popular attraction for people to search the beaches and many find ammonites and belemnites.
